After fixing a problem with the brakes on the Wednesday prior to the race weekend I went there with 100% confidence that the car would be a lot better.

Unfortunately that wasn’t the case and again I was at the back of the field after qualifying. The Friday test day was wet so when it came to qualifying and it was dry I had never driven the track in that condition before but I knew that it would be reasonably simple to try and pick up. I improved throughout the session and then we came to race 1 where I had a very bad race and ended up right at the rear of the grid.

In race 2 I kept up well with the end pack of cars for a few laps but then span as I was pushing harder and harder. This resulted in me being miles back but I managed to claw away at it and at the end of the race I was almost on the back of the last car in the field. I improved my time again and so we did manage to take some positives out of the weekend as we finished two races so managed to collect some points and I became more confident with the car and how it handles as I managed to do two race distances and a qualifying distance.

Snetterton is very close to this round and currently we are trying to decide what would be best for me as it is the only track on the calendar I had driven previously. The Polo will take more than the two weeks in order to develop into a top running car so we will be weighing up the options before the weekend approaches.
